Standards CRM Overview
OREAS® Certified Reference Materials (CRMs) are widely known in the mining and exploration industry and are distributed to more than 130 countries worldwide. Produced from only natural ore materials, each CRM undergoes thorough laboratory testing before being certified according to the latest ISO standards and put into circulation.
In placing the accuracy and integrity of your assay data as a top priority, every sample we offer is naturally sourced from real ore deposits, ensuring that it will behave the same as your field samples.

Certified Reference Materials in West Africa
Gold Certified Reference Materials (CRMs)
The OREAS® Gold CRMs undergo rigorous non-destructive testing designed to ensure minimal to negligible contribution of any sampling errors from the CRM. To achieve this, OREAS® is testing the CRMs using the INAA method, where a sampling error is induced theoretically, enabling the absolute homogeneity of the CRM to be quantified and giving a significant advantage over the traditional milling methods.
Super Certified Reference Materials (CRMs)
As part of our distribution agreement with OREAS®, we offer their SuperCRM® range, which consists of certified reference materials holding ICP-OES and MS elemental suite certification for a minimum of two analytical methodologies. These CRMs will ensure absolute control for alteration mapping, pathfinder elements, and other ICP applications in your mining and exploration projects in West Africa.

As part of our distribution agreement with OREAS®, we offer their SuperCRM® range, which consists of certified reference materials holding ICP-OES and MS elemental suite certification for a minimum of two analytical methodologies. Custom Certified Reference Materials (CRMs)
Our distribution agreement with OREAS® also covers the preparation and supply of custom CRMs to match your needs. Custom OREAS® CRMs can be prepared and packaged in varying batch sizes and fully certified for analytes of your interest.

Preparation, Packaging and Certification
Preparation
The OREAS® range consists of the largest stock supply of reference materials in the world with batch sizes ranging from 100kg to 12,000kg.
Packaging
All of the CRMs are packaged into single-use packets which are easy to use and greatly reduce the risk of contamination during sub-sampling.
Certification
Every CRM in the OREAS® range undergoes a comprehensive inter-laboratory ‘round robin’ characterization program.
